Obituary	CARLOS E. WAKEFIELD DEXTER - Carlos E. Wakefield, 88, died March 13, at a Dexter hospital following a long illness. He was born Feb. 8, 1891, son of Charles and Ellen (Arnold) Wakefield. He attended Ripley schools, and lived for 33 years in California before retiring to Dexter a few years ago. He had several vocations including farmer, plumber and retail hardware store. He was a past member of Ripley Grange. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Nelson Wakefield of Dexter; one brother, Guy Wakefield of Wellington; two sister-in-law; one uncle and several nieces. The Rev. John Palmer of Washburn officiated at funeral services March 15 at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Interment will be in the West Ripley Cemetery in the spring.
