Obituary	STANLEY G. PATTERSON ABBOT - Stanely G. Patterson, 66, died Feb. 15 at Abbot. He was born Sept. 21, 1912, in Smyrna Mills, the son of John and Carrie (Chapman) Patterson. He served with the Navy during World War II and was a past member of the Grange. He worked with the Monson Slate Quarry for several years. He served as a road commissioner and sexton for the Town of Abbot. In later years he was self-employed at various occupations. He is survived by his wife, Marguerite (Knowlton) Patterson of Abbot; three sons, Dallas of Sangerville, Dennis of Guilford and Rogan of Dover, N.H.; three daughters, Ione Herrick of Dexter, Gloria Knowlton of Sangerville, and Phyllis Tuttle of Parkman; four step-sons, Dwinal, Frederick and Lloyd Hall, all of Guilford, and Richard Hall of Sangerville; one step-daughter, Carolyn (Hall) Skinner of Dover, N.H.; two brothers, Vern of Abbot, and Guy of Skowhegan; two sisters, Nellie Crockett and Mona Wescot, both of Brockton, Mass.; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were Feb. 18 at the Neal Funeral Home in Guilford, with Pastor Daryl Witmer officiating. Spring burial will be in the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford.
