Obituary	ROSE LAFONTAINE DEXTER - Rose Lafontaine, 80, died at her Dexter residence, Feb. 7 after a long illness. She was born at Carey Plantation, Nov. 19, 1898, the daughter of David and Hannah (Wilcox) Cassiday. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She was employed by the Plummer Memorial Hospital for over 30 years. She was the first president of the Plummer Memorial Hospital Associates, was past president of the Auxiliary of the Pulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion and a past president of the Senior Extension. She worked many hours for the Meals for Me and pratical nursing in that area for many years. She is survived by her husband, Louis of Dexter; two sons, Philip of Barton, Vt., Leonard of Dexter; one brother, Lewis Cassidy of North Amity; several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Feb. 9 in St. Anne's Catholic Church. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements by Crosby Funeral Home.
