Obituary	VALEDA P. CLEAVES DEXTER - Valeda P. Cleaves, 90, died at a Dexter hospital Jan. 22 after a long illness. She was born in St. Joseph, Quebec, April 28, 1888, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Poirier Provost. She was the widow of L. Frank Cleaves. She was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She is survived by seven sons, Omer, Gabriel, Roland and Philip, all of Dexter, Paul of Togus, Gerald of Jericho, Vt. and Henry of Winooski, Vt.; three daughters, Mrs. Louis (Lucienne) Doucette of Lewiston, Mrs. Nazier (Anita) Clukey of Guilford, Mrs. Leo (Lillian (DeMarais of Dexter; a brother, Edward Provost of Sherbrooke, Que.; a sister, Corinne Rabideau of Dexter, grandchildren great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was said Jan. 24. Prayers were held at the Crosby Funeral Jan. 23. Interment will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter in the spring.
