Obituary	MRS. MERRITT CHAMBERS DOVER-FOXCROFT - Elizabeth I. Chambers, 68, died Dec. 7, 1978 at a local nursing home following a long illness. She was born at Garland, June 2, 1910, the daughter of Maurice A. and Vera (Eddy) Cole. She was a retired cook from the Mayo Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her mother and by her husband, Merritt J. Chambers, both of Dover-Foxcroft; three sons, Martin, Maurice and Orman, all of Dover-Foxcroft; two daughters, Mrs. George (Luda) Knight of West Wellington, Conn., Mrs. Jack (Brenda) Plummer of Dover-Foxcroft, Philip and Allen Cole, both of West Seboeis; one sister, Mrs. Max (Evelyn) Batchelder of Dover-Foxcroft; 25 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the Lary Funeral Home, Dec. 9 with pastor Dana C. Miller of the United Baptist Church officiating. burial was in the family lot in Sebec Corner Cemetery.
