ROBERT D. FANJOY DEXTER-Robert D. Fanjoy, 59, husband of Bertha (Cross) Fanjoy, died July 11 at his Lower Main Street residence after a long illness. He was born July 8, 1919, in Houlton, the son of Lyle and Edna (Tidd) Fanjoy. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post No. 53 of Dexter. He had served as selectman in the town of Dexter for six years and had owned and operated the Dexter Agway since 1962. Surviving besides his wife of Dexter are three sons, Robert D. Jr. of Millinocket, Richard A. and Ronald K., both of Dexter; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dawn) Bisson of Derry, N.H.; three brothers, Earl, Arnold and Gerald, all of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Paul (Leta) Chase of Houlton, Mrs. John (Addie) Irvin of Dexter; four grandchildren. Funeral services were July 13 at the Dexter United Methodist Church with the Rev. Paul Marshall officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
