Obituary	GERTRUDE E. PARKMAN NEWPORT and DEXTER - Gertrude Ellen Parkman, 68, wife of Maurice P. Parkman, Newport, died July 4 at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born Oct. 19, 1909, at Brewer but spent most of her early years in Newport. She was the daughter of Ulysses and Bertha Sparrow Fickett. Surviving, besides her husband, are ason, Edward E. Parkman, of Norfolk, Va.; a sister, Lena Faulkes, Brownville; a brother, Everett Fickett, West Enfield; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were July 7 at the Thompson Funeral Home, 188 Spring St., Dexter, with burial in the family lot at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
