Obituary	MRS. ELIZABETH GILBERT DEXTER - Mrs. Elizabeth Gilbert, 79, died at her residence in Goldsboro, N.C., May 28, following a long illness. She was the widow of Horace Gilbert. She was born June 4, 1898, the daughter of Henry and Isabelle (Welsh) Batey. She resided in Dexter for more than 45 years before leaving the state. She was very active in the First Baptist Church while here. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elaine Getchell of Goldsboro, N.C. Committal services were May 31 at the Monson Cemetery. Arrangements by Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter.
