Obituary	MRS. HESTER M. CARD CLINTON-Mrs. Hester M. Card, 66, died late Wednesday night at a Waterville hospital after an illness of several months. She was born in East Dover, Nov. 31, 1911, daughter of Archie and Annie (White) McNair, was educated in Sangerville schools, graduating from high school in 1929 and from the University of Maine in 1933. She taught school in Dexter, Milo and Norway for several years as a supervisor in home economics. For the past 23 years, she was employed at the local post office. Mrs. Card was married to Lester Card on June 7, 1940, in Norway. They lived in Norway until 1944, when he went into the service and she moved to Milo. In 1966 they came to Clinton. Survivors are her husband of 13 Spring St., a son, Robert of Clinton; a daughter, Patricia of Pedua, Italy; a brother, Archibald McNair of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Gilman of Newport and Mrs. Harriet Wyman of Lansing, Mich.; two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday at United Brown Methodist Church, Clinton. Arrangements were made by Redington Funeral Home of Clinton.
