Obituary	H. Newton Bowdoin Newton Bowdoin, 77, died at the Willowcrest home in Gardiner, October 22, where he was taken after he suffered injuries from a fall about three weeks ago. He was born in Ripley, June 26, 1868 the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Bowdoin and spent much of his lifetime in that town. He was employed in the Dexter woolen mills at times and then made his home in Dexter. In early life he was united in marriage to Lucy Merrill of Dexter who died and in 1934 he married Eva Decker of Pittsfield. For the past ten years they have resided in Pittsfield. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Brown funeral home in Pittsfield, with the Rev. Josephine Folsom officiating. Internment was in the family lot in the Ripley cemetery. Bearers were Walter Pomroy, Dana Pomroy, Bert Bragg and Leon Moody. Attending the services from Dexter were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Hutchins, Mrs. Floyd Merrill and Clyde Merrill.
