Obituary	MRS. VERA B. AYER DEXTER - Vera Beryl Ayer, 87, widow of Willis (Bill) Ayer, died Sept. 3, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home following a long illness. She was born Nov. 15, 1889, at Livermore Falls, daughter of Charles and Josephine (Farrington) Dyer. For many years she was co-owner of Ayers Electrical Shop, Dexter, and was a member of Wassookeag Chapter, OES, Dexter. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Wilma) Hatch of Dexter, Mrs. Mark (Roberta) Smith of Bethel Park, PA., four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Private funeral services were Sept. 5, at the Thompson Funeral Home, 188 Spring St. Dexter, with the Rev. Gordon Reynolds, Vicar of the Episcopal Church of the Messiah officiating. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wish may donate to the memorial fund of the Episcopal Church of the Messiah, care of the Rev. Gordon Reynolds, 18 Free St., Dexter.
