Obituary
Amos S. Rundlett The following clipping from the Boston Herald was sent in by a reader: Exeter, N. H., Aug. 22--Amos S. Rundlett. 68, clerk of the Rockland County Superior court since 1922, died at his home today. Born in Mars Hill, Maine, as a young man he went to Portsmouth and studied law under the late John W. Kelley and was admitted to the bar in 1909. He was a member of the Masonic bodies of Portsmouth and also of the Odd Fellows and had served as town moderator. He was also a member of the draft board No. 20. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Boutwell of Newmarket and a son, Harold G. Rundlett, of Rye. ------ Amos Rundlett lived in Dexter several years with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Owen E. Blackden at the Exchange hotel. He attended Dexter High school, entering with the class of 1898 but left school before he graduated to attend business college. He was in Dexter in 1938 to attend the alumni reunion where he met many old friends.
