Obituary	LESTER P. COLE GARLAND - Lester P. Cole, 88, died suddenly March 27 at a Bangor hospital. Born in Garland, June 21, 1887, the son of Frank and Marie davis Cole. Mr. Cole was a state highway road construction engineer, retiring in 1963. He is survived by his wife, Eva Batchelder Cole of Garland; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Arlene) Collins of Dexter, Mrs. Cecile (Marion) Miller of Alton, Mrs. Gordon (Doris) White of Garland; one brother, Ben of Brewer; one sister, Mrs. Ruth Pike of Carmel, nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were March 29 from the Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Pastor Dana Miller of the Dover-Foxcroft United Baptist Church officiated. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery later this spring.
