Obituary	VERNON S. PATTERSON HARTLAND - Vernon S. Patterson, 81, died Feb. 2 at a Clearwater, Florida, Hospital after a months illness. He was born in Staceville Feb. 21, 1894. He was first selectman of Hartland for several years. He was a member of the Hartland and St. Albans Lions Club, and of the Masonic Lodge A. F. and A. M. of Sherman, Maine. He is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Ruby Taylor of Dunedin, Fla., Mrs. Arland (Adele) Stedman of Hartland, and Mrs. E. Bradley (Beauford) Lowell of Dexter. One sister Mrs. Rose Rand of Sherman Mills, 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are to be announced. Friends who wish may donate to the Heart Fund or Cancer Fund.
