Obituary	IRA L. AMES DEXTER - Ira L. Ames, 88, husband of Flossie (McKenney) Ames, died Nov. 16 at a Bangor nursing home after a brief illness. He was born Oct. 3, 1887, in Lakeville, son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Lowell) Ames. He was a veteran of World War I and a former resident of Pittsfield, where he worked as a mason, moving to Dexter in 1964. Surviving besides his wife of Dexter are two stepsons, Alfred and Vernard McKenney, both of Dexter; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Viola Bennett of Hartland. Funeral services were November 8 at the Full Gospel Missionary Church in Dexter with Pastor Phyllis Webber officiating. Burial was in the Village Cemetery in Pittsfield.
