Obituary	HARVEY H. ELDERKIN NEWPORT-Harvey H. Elderkin, 54, died suddenly at his residence Sept. 4. He was born in Parkman, Jan. 20, 1921, son of William and Flora (Clement) Elderkin. He attended the North Dexter School, and was a member of the Conservation Corp. in Greenville during the Depression. He worked most of his life in the Newport area doing painting and carpentry work. He is survived by three daughters, Christina Botting of Meriden, Conn., Judith Mega of Fairfax, Va., Barbara Jean Twombly of Howland; one sister, Marguerite Carr of North Dexter, one brother, Maynard of Dexter; eight grandchildren. Funeral service was September 7 at Crosby Funeral Home, Newport. Burial was in the family lot, Pingree Center Cemetery, Parkman.
