Obituary	ROBERT W. BATEY CORINNA - Robert W. Batey, 87, died July 22 at a Brewer nursing home after a long illness. He was born at Hawick, Scotland, Sept. 4, 1888, son of Henry and Isabella Batey. Mr. Batey attended the Baptist Church in Dexter. He had been employed by the Fay and Scott Machine Shop in Dexter for 45 years until his retirement in 1962. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther (Downs) Batey of Corinna; three sons, Norman Batey of New Hampshire, Vernon Batey of Dexter, and Robert Batey of Fairfield; one daughter Mrs. Esther Tozier of Massachusetts; one Brother, Thomas of Waltham, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Betty Gilbert of North Carolina; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held July 25 at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter. Burial at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
