Obituary	JOHN F. FOLSOM OAKLAND - John Forrest Folsom, 83, died April 12 at a Waterville nursing home after a long illness. Born in Dexter on Nov. 18, 1891, the son of Eben C. and Minnie Service Folsom, he was a graduate of Dexter High School and served in the Army during World War I. He was employed by Maine Central Railroad for about 20 years until his retirement in 1950. He was a member of the Decker-Simmons Post of the American Legion in Oakland, a life member of the Plymouth Lodge, IOOF of Dexter and attended the Oakland-Sidney Methodist Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Phebe Brown Folsom of Oakland; three nephews, one niece and several cousins. Funeral services were held April 14 at Wheeler's Funeral Home, 145 Church Street. Burial will be made in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterville at a later date.
