Springall was born in Dexter and spent summers as a child at his father, Dr. Thomas Springall's cottage at Waldheim, Lake Wassookeag. He later owned the cottage and came here summers for many years. He designed the sanctuary in the First Universalist Church as it now stands. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Latimer); a son, Thomas L. of Southport, Conn.; a sister, Mrs. Sarah Youmans of Southport, grandsons, Robert and William of Southport, Conn.
