Obituary
EARLE M. BROCKWAY Earle M. Brockway, 82, died Nov. 8 at Goddard Home, Worcester, Mass. He was born in Dexter, on Nov. 25, 1890. He graduated from Dexter High School in 1910. He later attended the University of Maine, graduating in 1915 in Forestry. He worked for the Mass. Dept. of Conservation and also for Boston and Maine R.R. as a Timber Inspector after graduation. He was in World War I, leaving for overseas in 1917 and was overseas 23 months. Upon his return he worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture as a Pathologist for 35 years, retiring in 1954. His wife's death was in 1964. He leaves a son Bruce B., and three grandchildren all of Worcester, Mass. He belonged to the American Forestry Assoc.; The Society of American Foresters; AARP; VFW The Retirement Mens Club in Glendale; The National Travel Club. He was a member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church in Worcester, and Narce (National Association Retired Civil Employees). He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, a member of the Mass. Audubon Society and Worcester Grange. Funeral services were held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church with burial in High Hills Cemetery Oakdale, Mass.
