Obituary	ARLIE N. MERRILL Arlie N. Merrill, 63, died suddenly Aug. 6 enroute to a Bangor hospital. He was born April 28, 1910 in Dexter the son of Floyd and Carrie (Littlefield) Merrill. He spend most of his life in Dexter and was employed for many years at the Fay and Scott Machine Shop now known as Fayscott-Landis. his latest position was general superintendent from which he retired April 6 of this year. He was a member of Penobscot Lodge, F & AM Masons, St. Johns Royal Arch Chapter and the Dexter Fish and Game Association. He is survived by his parents, two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Keyte So. Portland; Mrs. Donald Smith (Barbara), West Gorham; one brother, Clyde Merrill of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. John (Glenice) Adams, Northeast Harbor; Mrs. Lloyd (Althea) Holland, No. Windham; four grandchildren. Masonic services were held at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home on Wednesday evening. Funeral services are being held at 10 a.m. this morning (Thursday) at the Funerla Home with teh Rev. Andrew Spohrer officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
