Obituary	VERNA E. BROOKS Verna E. Brooks, 63, widow of Howard M. Brooks, and a resident of Dover, N. H. and formerly of Dexter and Brattleboro, Vt. died suddenly, May 3 while visiting in Rochester, N. H. She was born in Dexter April 23, 1910 the daughter of Oscar E. and Villa T. (Thorndike) Bryant and lived in Brattleboro, Vt. for many years before coming to Dover in 1965 She was a member of Bingham Order of Eastern Star of Brattleboro. She is survived by a son, Roderick J. Bryant of Dover; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Mildred) Cannon and Miss Barbara E. Bryant both of Dover; a brother, Norman T. Bryant of Barre, Vt., a nephew, an aunt and several cousins. Funeral services were held May 6 at the Tasker and Chesley Funeral Home with Rev. Perry Blankenship, rector of St. Thomas church officiating. Committal services were held Monday afternoon in Brattleboro, with Rev. Leonard Kramer of the Congregational church officiating.
