MRS. GERALDINE DYER dexter-Mrs. Geraldine Dyer, 52, who was chief telephone operator in this Penobscot County community five years before the swithcboard closed in 1954, died December 18 at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Dyer, a native of town and wife of Gerald Dyer, was employed a total of 13 years by the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. She was born May 14, 1922, daughter of Philip and Victoria (Goulet) Goulette, graduated from N.H. Fay High School here, was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella circle at the church; Junior Literary Club and a bridge club, all of town. Survivors are her husband, four sisters, Mrs. H.M.(Inez) David of Montreal, P.Q., Canada, Mrs. Joseph (Christina) murphy of Brewer, Mrs. Henry (Vernita) Gajewski of Dover, N.H., and Mrs. Kenneth (Virginia) Veazie of Corinna: two brothers, Gerald Goulet of town and Eugene Goulet of Guilford. Services were held December 21 at St. Ann's Catholic church. Friends who wish may make memorial donations in her name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
