Obituary	MRS. MABEL STROUT DEXTER - Mrs. Mabel Strout, 98, died at a Bangor Nursing Home December 5 after a long illness. She was born Aug. 31, 1876, daughter of Hiram and Annie (Lord) Ridley. She was the widow of Dr. Arthur C. Strout. She was a graduate of Castine Normal School in the class of 1899. She taught at Castine Normal School for 15 years. She was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter. She was instrumental in organizing the Wassookeag Literary Club in Dexter. She was past director of the Maine State Federation of Women's Clubs. She is survived by two sons, Chester of Dexter and Dr. Warren Strout of Bangor; several grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral srvices were held December 7 at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery in Sanford.
