Obituary	LEWIS E. CARR Lewis E. Carr, 53, of Dexter, died Nov. 19 at a Waterville Hospital, following a 5 year battle with cancer. Born Sept. 7, 1921, in Dexter, son of Maurice and Jessie (Page) Carr, he was educated in Dexter schools, graduated from N. H. Fay School in 1940. He was with the U S. Army in WW II, finishing as Staff Sargent. A lifetime resident of Dexter (except for 9 years in Cambridge) he was employed by Dexter Shoe. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maxine Carr, Dexter; his mother, Mrs. Jessie Carr, Dexter; 1 son, Roger of Lee; 3 brothers, Merle, Augusta; Clayton of Dexter; Dennis of Corinna; 2 sisters, Mrs. Helen Newbert, Dexter; and Mrs. Charlene Breton, Dexter; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Nov. 22 at Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter at 2 p.m. where visiting hours will be held Wednesday and Thursday 2 4 and 7-9. Burial will be in the Old Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge.
