Obituary	BERNARDMOUNTAIN DEXTER - Bernard "Bernie" Mountain, 68, died Nov. 9 at a Bangor hospital after a lon illness. He was born in Dexter, July 10, 1906, son of Edward and Maude Bearce Mountain. He was educated in the schools of Fay, N. H., following which he was a resident of Dexter. In 1955 he built and operated a grocery store at the corner of Lincoln and Lower Maine streets, which is now known as Chet's Market. In 1933 he sold the store to Lynn Jewett, after which he entered the used car business with his brother, Frederick, who is now deceased. He was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter. He was past president of the Sebasticook Golf Club, Newport. He was also a former member of the Cardinal Mercier Council, Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his widow, Doris L. Schultz Mountain, Dexter; four sons, William, Ronald and Wade, all of Dexter, and Wayne of Hartford, gconn. ; one daughter, B. Joanne Dews of Durand, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Daigle of Ocean Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie Clukey, Dexter; one uncle, one aunt, five grandchildren and several cousins. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Nov. 12 at 10 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter. Friends who wish may make donations in his memory to the Tumor Clinic at the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor.
