Obituary	Stephen Ambrose Stephen Ambrose, 74, died Wednesday afternoon at his home on Lakeview street after a long illness. He was born in Isle Verte, Canada and came to Dexter 55 years ago where he has since made his home. In January 1895 he was united in marriage to Mary Higgins of Dexter and this year they had the pleasure of celebrating their golden wedding. For many years Mr. Ambrose was employed as a weaver at the Dumbarton Woolen Mill. He was a member of St. John Baptiste Society and of St. Anne's Catholic church. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning, June 9, at 9 o'clock at St.Anne's church and interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Gilbert and Mrs. Anita Savage of Dexter; four sons, Arthur, Thomas and Julian of Dexter and Nelson of New York City; two grandchildren, Bonny Mae Savage and Nancy Jean Ambrose; two brothers, Amos Ambrose of Dexter and Fred Ambrose of South Lowell, Mass.
