Obituary	Mrs. Alice Oliver Mrs. Alice Oliver died at her home on Maple street Wednesday morning shortly after midnight at the age of 79 years. She had been in poor health for a long time but had been confined to her bed only a few days. She was born in Dexter May 4, 1866, the daughter of Charles and Martha Cole. When a young woman she was united in marriage to Charles Brown and to them were born three children. In later years she married Frank Oliver who survives her. All her married life was spent in Garland, with the exception of the past several months when she and Mr. Oliver have resided in Dexter since their farm home was destroyed by fire last fall. Mrs. Oliver was highly respected by a wide circle of friends. For many years and until the organization disbanded, she was an ardent worker an officer in the Woman's Relief Corps in Garland and as long ashealthpermitted she was an interested rnember of Garland Grange. She was a member of the Christian Advent church in Dover-Foxcroft. Surviving besides the husband are a daughter, Mrs. Marcia Noble of Dexter; two sons, Ross Brown of Bradford and Urban Brown of Portland; a sister, Mrs. Florence Sawyer of Dexter; seven grandchildren and three great grand children. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at Crosby's funeral parlor and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery in Garland.
