Obituary	MRS. EARL WHITNEY Mrs. H. Daisy Whitney, 74, of Newport, died at a Bangor Hospital Jan. 19 after a long period of illness. She was born in DoverFoxcroft May 21, 1899, the daughter of John and Mary (Crossman) Mitten. She was a member of the H.G. Libby National Women's Relief Corps. She is survived by her husband, Earl Whitney of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Kathryn) Sickenberger of Newport, Mrs. Terrance (Bertha) Gallant of Sangerville; three step-children Mrs. Alfred (Gloria) Dennis of California, Mrs. Mary Bagley of Detroit and Robert Williams of Maryland; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Richards of Dexter; one brother, Percy Mitten of Summerside, N.B.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held Tuesday at the Crosby Funeral Home in Newport. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.
