Obituary	RUTH JOHNSON Mrs. Ruth A. Johnson, 81, died Dec. 8 at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born at Garland Sept. 25, 1891 the daughter of Augustus and Abby (Straw) Fernald. She was the widow of Harry F. Johnson. She was a member of the Mission Circle of the First Baptist Church, the Senior Extension, the Dexter Grange, Pleasant Neighbors Club, and the Dexter Golden Age, all of Dexter. She is survived by a son, Wendell E. of Dexter; five daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Ellis, Miss Pauline T. Johnson, both of Dexter, Mrs. Phyllis A. Miles of Northboro, Mass., Mrs. Althea Rackliffe of Belfast, Mrs. Jane Elsie of Manchester, Conn.; a brother, Harold Fernald of East Corinth; a sister Mrs. Gladys Lee of Dexter; eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
