Obituary	MRS. MABELLE EDES Mrs. Mabelle Sawyer Edes, 84, widow of Dana H. Edes, died March 25 at a Dexter nursing home following a long illness. She was born in Bangor, July 20, 1887, the daughter of Andrew and Ella (Pendelton) Sawyer. She was educated at Bangor High School and Mt. Ida School in Newton, Mass. She attended the University of Maine. She was affiliated with Universalists Church of Guilford where she was organist for many years. She was a member of the Ladies' Circle of that church. She was teacher of piano over a period of years in the Guilford area. Surviving are a son James K. Edes of Dexter; a daughter, Mrs. William (Edith) Allen of Ellsworth Falls; six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home in Guilford. The Rev. Reginald Couture of the Ellsworth Falls Union Congregational Church conducted the service. Spring burial will be in the Guilford Cemetery.
