ARTHUR H. HASELTINE Arthur H. Haseltine, 63, died unexpectedly March 21 at his winter home in Ellenton, Fla. He was born in Dexter March 7, 1909, the son of Willis G. and Marion (Small) Haseltine. He is survived by his wife Evelyn (Perkins) Haseltine of Dexter and Florida; one daughter, Mrs. John Chenevert of Dexter; one son, Dwight of Frye, Maine; one sister, Miss Ruth Haseltine, Dexter and six grandchildren. The body will be brought to Dexter for burial. Funeral arrangements will be announced. (The Eastern Gazette 3-23-1972, p.4) ARTHUR M. HASELTINE Funeral services for Arthur M. Haseltine, who died at the age of 63 on March 21 at his winter home in Ellenton, Fla., were held Saturday at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home, Dexter. The Rev. Robert Sterling, minister of the Universalist Church officiated. Masonic services were held at the Funeral Home Friday. Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Haseltine was born in Belfast March 7, 1909 the son of the late Willis G. and Marion (Small) Haseltine. He graduated from Dexter High School and attended the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston. At the age of 15 he played the organ in the Dexter Methodist Church and was said to be the youngest organist in the state at that time. He was a member of the First Universalist Church, Dexter, where he was an organist for several years. He also played in various lodges. He was a member of Penobscot Masonic Lodge, Dexter & Wassookeag Chapter Eastern Star, of which he was a past patron. He was a past high priest of St. John's Chapter Royal Arch Mason. He was a former member of Plymouth Lodge of Odd Fellows, Dexter. He was employed for many years by the Fayscott-Landis Machine Corp., Dexter until he was forced to retire in 1967 because of ill heath. He was also active in the Civil Air Patrol.
