Obituary	IRVING A. PRIEST Irving A. Priest Sr., 74, died at his home in Sangerville on the Dexter Road March 8. He was born in Sangerville, Feb. 18, 1898, the son of Horace and Sarah (Clifford) Priest. Priest served as an assessor & selectman in Sangerville, and had been a well-known poultry farmer and businessman in this area since 1934. Previously, he spent 10 years as supervisor of the poultry annex at Avon Old Farm, Avon, Conn. He retired in 1964, and spent time with his hobbies, fishing and trapping. He was a member of the Sangerville United Church, a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the North Dexter Lodge. Surviving are his widow, Bernice of Sangerville; a son, Irving Jr. of Sangerville; a daughter, Mrs. Clair (Gertrude) Wiley of Dexter; six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home in Guilford Saturday. Burial will be in Sangerville Village Cemetery. Masonic memorial services were held at the funeral home Friday.
