Obituary
GROVER C. DAVIS Grover Clevland Davis, 85, died unexpectedly Feb. 6 at his residence on Zion's Hill, Dexter. He was born in Georgetown, July 6, 1886, the son of William H. and Christina Davis. He attended Georgetown schools and for 27 years was manager of the First National Store in Dexter before his retirement. He was a member of Plymouth Odd Fellows Lodge and Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge in Dexter. Last June, he and his wife, the former Louise Parkman, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his wife: a daughter, Mrs. Frederick (Marion) Hicks of Portland; three brothers, Stinson and Lester of Five Islands and Merton of Cumberland Center; a sister, Mrs. Julia Williams of Five lslands; two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Crosby Neal Funeral Home, Dexter Tuesday with the Rev. Andrew Spohrer of the Free Baptist Church officiating. Spring burial will be in the Morse's Corner Cemetery in Corinna.
