Obituary	MRS. WINNIE C. DAVIS Mrs. Winnie Lois Davis, 85, widow of Leslie Walter Davis, died Dec. 19 at the home of her son, Howard in Dexter. She was born in Dexter, May 28, 1886, the daughter of Wilbur J. and Nellie Jane (Amazeen) Russell. She was educated in Dexter schools and in her younger days was employed as a weaver in local mills. After her retirement in 1920, she concentrated on arts and crafts at her home on Spring St. She was a member of the former Methodist Ladies Aid. She is survived by her son, Howard Leslie Davis of Dexter; two grandchildren, H. Leslie Davis, Jr. of Dexter and Paul Titcomb Davis of Newport; three great-grandchildren, Stewart Leslie, Heidi Lynn and Todd Walter. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Crosby-Neal Funeral Home, Dexter with the Rev. Norman C. Young officiating. Spring burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
