Obituary	MRS. AVIS ELLIS Mrs. Avis G. Ellis, 79, died Sept. 30 at a local hospital following a long illness. She was born at Dexter Oct. 26, 1895, the daughter of Willis and Kate Atwater Blake. She attended Dexter Schools, and was a practical nurse in the area for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Dexter, and the WSCS of that church. Survivors are two sons, S. Blake Ellis of Portland and Dean of Salem, N. H.; one daughter Mrs. Lyston Trefethan, one sister, Mrs. E. Frank Searle of Dexter, nine grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman C. Young officiating. Burial was in a Lawrence, Mass. cemetery.
