Obituary
G. BASIL CLARK G. Basil Clark, 49, died suddenly Sept. 14 at a local hospital. He was born Nov. 1, 1921 at Danforth, the son of William and Elsie (Smith) Clark and moved to Dexter in 1941 where he joined the National Youth Administrative (NYA) program at the Fay & Scott Machine Shop. At the time of his retirement in 1969 be was a methods engineer at the Fayscott Landis Co., where he was employed for 29 years. He is a past member of Plymouth Lodge of Odd Fellows at Dexter and a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Margaret (Robinson) Clark of Dexter; a son, Quentin of Clearwater, Fla.; and a daughter, Mrs. Douglas (Margo) Scott of Detroit, Mich.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. James E. Haverill of Brewer, Mrs. George Morrill of S. Portland; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church at Dexter with the Rev. Norman Young officiating. Friends may call at the Crosby Funeral Home Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
