Obituary	CECIL H. PALMER Cecil H Palmer, 70, died July 19 at a local hospital, following a brief illness. He was born in Sangerville on March 8, 1901, the son of the late Jefferson and Jeannette (Bain) Palmer. He was married to Lois Pendexter, who died in 1960. He was educated in Sangerville schools and graduated in 1921 from high school. He was an athlete in his youth and later served as an umpire for area contests. He moved to Dexter in 1938 and had been employed for about 50 years in weave rooms in Sangerville, Guilford and Clinton and at the time of his death, he was employed nights at the Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. He had been a member of Abner Wade Masonic Lodge in Sangerville. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Patricia) Knowlton of Dexter; one brother, Glyndon J. Palmer of Sangerville; one sister, Mrs. Doris Hamilton of Dexter; three grandchildren, four nephews, and one niece. Funeral services are being held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, with the Rev. Norman C. Young officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
