Obituary
Mrs. Mary S. Percival The community was saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Mary S. Percival, 72, widow of Willis C. Percial, which occurred Sunday night, March 25, at her home here after a long period of illness. She was born in Ripley anuary 24, 1873 the daughter of the late LaRoy and Annette Jones Sevey, but had resided in Dexter the greater part of her life. Mrs. Percival was a member of Dexter Grange and a woman beloved by all who came in contact with her and an ardent worker for others in their hour of need as long as her health permitted. She leaves three daughters, Nellie B. Skillings of Palm Beach, Florida, Mrs. Alice B. Russell of Salisbury Cove, Maple I. Percival, a teacher in Branford, Conn., and one son Lt. (j. g.) Ernest L. Percival with the Navy stationed in Florida. Another daughter, Mrs. Jenny Howell of Sangerville, died seven years ago; a brother, Ernest Sevey of Ripley, seven grandchildren, Mrs. Margery Pratt of Burbank, Calif. Sgt. Laurence Howell with the U. S. Army in Mississippi, Wilson Howell of Sangerville, Oliver Rand Russell of the U. S. Maritime School, Katherine Russell of Salisbury Cove, Gary and Susanne Percival of Princeton also two great grandchildren Brenda and James Howell, as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral was held at the home on Maple street Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. Stanley Gates Spear of Beverly, Mass,, a close friend of the family, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Gordon C. Reardon. Beautiful floral tributes were in profusion. Interment was in Ripley. Among those from out of town attending the services were Mrs. Walter Russell and Katherine, Salisbury Cove, Miss Maple Percival, Branford, Conn., Mrs. Ernest L. Percival, Princeton. James Howell, Sebec; Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Howell, Sangerville; Mr. and Mrs. Collon Sevey, Mrs. Lillian Bubier, Corinna; Mr. and Mrs. John, Sevey, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sevey, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sevey, Albert Sevey, Elmer Sevey of Ripley.
