Obituary	ROLAND L. SMITH Roland L. Smith, 61, died at his home on the Charleston Road Thursday evening after walking home in heavy snow from the center of town. He was born in Bangor, Oct. 10, 1909, the son of Charles W. and Winona Johnson Smith. He attended Hermon schools and was employed by Pratt-Whitney Co. in Connecticut for nine years. For the past six years he had been employed by Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna. Survivors include his widow, Josephine Reynalds Smith of Dexter, a daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Vivian) Ambrose of Dover-Foxcroft; two sons, Vertner Smith of Coventry, Conn., and Ernest Smith of Rockville, Conn.; a brother, Edred Smith of Bangor; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter. Sping burial will be in the Kenduskeag Cemetery.
