Obituary	A. GARFIELD JONES A. Garfield Jones, 78, died July 10 at a Dexter hospital following a long illness. Jones was born Jan. 25, 1892, at Burtts Corner, N.B., the son of Wesley and Etta (Jones) Jones. He had moved to the United States at an early age and served in the U.S. Army during World War I. He had been employed at the Crown Alexander Woolen Mill in Dexter for several years until retirement in 1968. He had been a member of the Dexter Grange, the Golden Age Club and the First Baptist Church, both of Dexter. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Winnie H. Jones, of Dexter; three brothers, Linwood of Dexter, Cecil of Sayre, Penn., and Murvyle of Burtts Corner, N. B.; one sister, Mrs. Cora Bird of Frederickton, N,B.; two grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church, Dexter with the Rev. Philip Mather officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
