REUBEN W. SMITH Reuben W. Smith, 62, died June 17, while at work. Smith was born Dec. 21, 1907, in Dadeville, Ala. the son of Howard and Lilly (Nash) Smith. He moved to Maine at a very early age. He had spent most of his life in the Dexter area. He had been employed for 31 yars by the Fayscott Landis Machine Corp. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Louise (Fillmore) Smith; two sons, Colon of Milford, N.H., and Floyd of Rhein Mein A.F. Base, Germany; three daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Marlene) Murray and Mrs. Galen (Marjorie) Clukey, both of Dexter, and Mrs. William (Marion) Meierdirk of Hampden, one brother Royal of Guilford; four sisters, Mrs. Morris Towle, Mrs. Leon Towle, and Mrs. Bertha Savage, all of Dexter, and Mrs. Annie Fish of North Anson; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Andrew J. Spohrer officiating. Burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
