Obituary
William E. Richardson William E. Richardson, 74, an esteemed resident of Parkman, died Friday night in a Dover-Foxcroft hospital after a three days' illness. He was born in Parkman and was a life long resident. He was a lumberman by occupation. For a period of some 20 years, he took charge of all of the outside work at the Kineo House, for C. A. Judkins, proprietor; he was foreman of woods crews in large lumber operations both in Maine and New Hampshire and later in life did quite extensive lumbering on his own wood lands in Parkman. His integrity and faithfulness and his complete understanding of his work, made him a valued employe e and one in whom his employers placed implicit confidence. Mr. Richardson was well known for his generous assistance to the poor and needy and to any worthy cause that was brought to his attention. He will be greatly missed not only in the town which has been his lifetime home, but in this section. He was the son of John and Myra (Peabody) Richardson. He never married. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Smart and Mrs. Blanche Merrill, both of Dexter; a brother, John Richardson of Dexter; three nieces, and two nephews. Two sisters Mrs. Mabel Parker and Mrs. Annie Nutting died several years ago. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Guildford at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brown, with the Rev. B. L. Estes of Parkman officiating. Burial will be in the Pingree Center Cemetery.
