Obituary	ARTHUR J. GATCHELL Arthur J. Gatchell, 73, died May 29, at a Bangor hospital after a long illness. He was born in Peabody, Mass., July 17, 1896, the son of Ernest and Susan (Winchester) Gatchell. He was employed in Salem, Mass., for 40 years by H.P. Hood and Sons. Semi-retiring, he came to Dexter in 1958 where he owned and operated the Hilltop Grocery Store on the North Dexter Road for several years. Later, he retired and resided in his home on Pine Street. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Helen (Dyer) Gatchell of Dexter; one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Shirley) Mansfield of Hamilton, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Mildred) Bousley of Port Salerno, Fla., and Mrs. Herbert (Evelyn) Stickens of Beverly, Mass.; a half-sister, Mrs. Edna McCarthy of Bangor; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert N. Lemieux officiating. Committal services were Wednesday at St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem, Mass.
