Obituary	DR. HARVEY J. WHEELER Dr. Harvey J. Wheeler, 39, head of the department of economics at Clemson University, died May 14 in a Greenville, S.C. hospital. He was a native of Dexter, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wheeler of Lower Main st. in Dexter. He received his B. A. degree in business and economics from the University of Maine and a Ph. D. in economics from the University of Virginia. He was a member of the Torch Club in Greenville and the Raven Club at the University of Virginia. Dr. Wheeler, who joined the Clemson faculty in 1960, had been head of the department of economics since August, 1967. Survivors include: his widow, Mrs. Barbara Mathewson Wheeler; two sons, Mathew and Kelvin all of Greenville, S.C.; three brothers, Dwight of Augusta, Galen of Waterville and Dana Wheeler of Vernon, Conn., and his parents of Dexter. Funeral services were held at the Clemson United Methodist Church. Burial was at Cemetery Hill on the Clemson campus.
