RALPH A. ELLMS Funeral services for Ralph Almond Ellms, 62, of Worcester, Mass., were held last Thursday afternoon at the South Calvary Church in that city. Ellms, a former Dexter resident, died March 16 at a Worcester hospital following a short illness. Burial was in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. Born in Dexter, June 5, 1907, he was the son of Ralph and Grace (Farrar) Ellms. He graduated from N.H. Fay High School, Dexter in 1925. Known as "Bull", he was very active in both track and basketball. While in Maine he worked in woolen mills in Dexter, Corinna and Wilton. In Massachusetts he managed tourist homes and was superintendent at the former Worcester Woolen Mills. He had lived in Worcester for the past 35 years. Survivors are his wife, Aida W. (Eckerstrom) Ellms of Worcester; two daughters, Miss Carol Ellms, of Bridgeport, Conn., and Mrs. Roger (Nancy) Samia of Shrewsbury, Mass.; a son, George L. Ellms of Spencer, Mass.; a brother, Guy Ellms of Dexter and two grandchildren.
