Obituary	MRS. GEORGE ABBOTT Mrs. George (Edna) Abbott, 49, died last Thursday morning at the Plummer Hospital, Dexter. Born in Bluntstown, Fla., May 18, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Dillard. She was educated in a St. Petersburg, Fla., high school and graduated as a registered nurse from Mound Park Hospital. She worked for a time at Mound Park Hospital; the Plummer Memorial Hospital, Dexter; Mayo Memorial Hospital DoverFoxcroft and the Eastern Maine Medical Center, Bangor, the Miami Florida City Hospital and the Kenmore Hospital, Boston, Mass. She was public health nurse for Piscataquis County. She was a member of the Registered Nurse's Guild and the Plummer Memorial Hospital Associates as well as a former member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter; and also the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors are her husband of Dexter, two sons, Walter Abbott, who is a student at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota and Fred Abbott of Dexter; two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Cox of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Frank (Mary) Flack of Houston, Texas. Funeral services were held at the First Universalist Church Saturday with Ralph Smart of the Bangor Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the spring.
