Services Thurs. For Mrs. Lloyd H. Hatch, Sr. Mrs. Winifred H. Hatch, 72, wife of Lloyd H. Hatch, Sr., died after a long illness at a Bangor hospital on Monday. She was born on January 5, 1897, in Dexter, the daughter of Walter E. and Jennie S. (Tait) Hill. With the exception of eight years in Newport, Rhode Island, she had lived all her life in Dexter. With her husband, Mrs. Hatch was co-founder in 1926 of Wassookeag School-Camp in Dexter, a summer school for boys, and the Hatch Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. Mrs. Hatch was Resident Matron at the Schools from 1926 until her retirement in 1959. She was a member of The First Universalist Church of Dexter and The Ladies Aid of that church, The Sunshine Club, the Dexter Woman's Literary Club and the Plummer Memorial Hospital Associates. For many years Mrs. Hatch directed fund-raising, bridge tournaments for the benefit of the Dexter Public Health Association. She is survived by her husband, two sisters, Mrs. Elsie H. Sharpe and Miss Estelle M. Hi1l, both of Dexter, a daughter, Mrs. Barbara H. Rust of Newtonville, Mass., two sons, Lloyd, Jr., and Malcolm both of Dexter, eight grandchildren eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at The First Universalist Church, Dexter at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. John FJ McNally, minister of the Universalist Church officiating, assisted by the Rev. Fred I. E. Ferris, Rector of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church, Bethel, Conn. The Rev. Ferris is an alumnus of Wassookeag School. Relatives and friends who wish may send memorial donations to Mrs. Hatch's favorite charity, The Sunshine Club, Dexter, Maine.
