Rites Held For Robert Cinq-Mars Robert E. Cinq-Mars, 74, died Thursday morning at a Togus hospital following a long period of failing health. He was born in Lowell, Mass., June 29, 1895, the son of Philip and Gertrude (Jay) Cinq-Mars. He graduated from the Lowell Textile School and came to Dexter 40 years ago from Warren where he was designer and superintendent at the Georges River Woolen Mill. In Dexter, he held the same position at the George Park Woolen Co. and later at the Dumbarton Woolen Mill. For the past several years, he has had part-time position as a designer and superintendent of the Guilford Woolen Industries. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, of Poulliot-Seavey Post, American Legion, of which he was a past commander; was chairman of the Penobscot County American Legion, and was serving as chairman of the Penobscot County Selective Service Board, a position which he has held for many years. He was a member of the Dexter Club, chairman of the Dexter Cemetery trustees and also chairman of the Dexter Park Commission. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cecile Cinq-Mars of Dexter; a son Robert J. of Albany, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Alice)Brozustowicz of Rochester, N. Y. and Mrs. Leo (Adelaide) Peters of Dexter; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gilbert Lemieux officiating. Rosary was said Friday at the funeral home. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
