Obituary	STANLEY H. JEWETT Stanley Horace Jewett, 45, died Saturday at a Togus hospital after a long illness. He was born in Dover-Foxcroft Jan. 7, 1924, the son of Stanley H. and Clara (Mitton) Jewett. He attended Lincoln Schools, and following a tour of duty with the U.S. Armed Forces, was employed by a woolen mill in Dexter. He married Freda W. Kennedy in 1947. He was employed by Judkin and Gilman in Newport as a plumber, worked for the Hartland Tanning Co., and for the Percival Coal Co. He also owned and operated his own plumbing He was a member of the Newport Post American Legion. He is survived by a son, Stephen, of Jobn Brown University and Salome Springs, Ark.; a daughter, Miss Linda Jewett of Bob Jones University in Greenville S.C., three brothers, Lawrence of Pennsylvania, John of Dexter, Philip of Presque Isle; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Farnham Funeral Home in Newport with the Rev. Gerald Scott, pastor of the Cavalry Baptist Church officiating, Burial was in the family lot in Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
